John Price was born 1808 in Llanddew, Brecknockshire, Wales,as per the Census records. A trawl through the baptism records only came up with one possible record. A baptism in Llanddewi'r Cwm, Breconshire, Wales on 11 January 1810, John son of William Price and Anne. Other baptisms to same couple, Rees (bap. 24 March 1807) and Margaret (bap. 17 June 1818)He married Elizabeth Lewis at Merthyr Tydfil on 1 June 1833.
