Elizabeth Kertion

She was born in 1836 in Chelynch, near Doulting, just outside Shepton Mallet, Somerset, England and baptised on 12^th June 1836 in Doulting. Her father was Robert Kerton, a coal carrier. Her mother was Matilda Wilcox.

She married Thomas Francis on 24^th January 1864 in St. Mary’s Church in the Parish of Bridgewater. She was a 24 yr old servant. He was a 23 yr old engine driver. Her Father was Robert Kertion, a labourer. His father was Jonas Francis, a labourer. The witnesses were John and Fanny Duck. (GRO ref 5C 629.)

Thomas Francis is living with his daughter in law in the 1901 Census. There is no sign of an Elizabeth Francis aged 61 and no Elizabeth Kertion or Kerton so she is assumed dead at this time.
