Merthyr Tydfil
Far inland in the South Wales valleys, at the head of the Brecon Beacons, the County Borough of Merthyr Tydfil is located on the doorstep of some of the loveliest scenery in Wales and boasts heritage, culture and magnificent countryside. It's main town is Merthyr Tydfil. From a one-time globally dominant role following the Industrial Revolution, Merthyr has now settled as a busy local town with a range of commercial and manufacturing industries.
