Dyffryn Gardens

Dyffryn Gardens is currently undergoing Restoration with the aid of a £6.15 Million Grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund. These Grade I Listed Edwardian Gardens are being restored to the original design drawn up by Thomas Mawson in 1904.
Works began in earnest in 1998 focusing on the Garden Rooms. The famous Pompeian Garden, a Grade II Listed Building, is now open to the public. Restoration work from 2000 – 2003 will see the re-establishment of the Lake and Kitchen Walled Garden with the magnificent Glass House Plant Collections. Work also started in 2001 on the new Reception Building and Horticulture Centre.
Enhancement of the Plant Collections, Arboretum and restoration of the Statues will be on-going. We are hoping to complete the works in 2005.
